  1. He wants to leave because he’s not going to be a regular starter as long as Haaland is at the club. Can you really blame him? He’s too good to be a backup

  2. Not surprising. He waited patiently for his time but it never came. He needs a club where he can get regular minutes.

  3. when madrid comes calling for an argentinian, they always go there. madrid as a place is apparently very argentinian friendly. plus game time for alvarez? no shocker there. sad but thats life. gotta seize opportunity when its right there.

  4. All these questions and comments… Is this your first day in football? How many young players came to City, learned under the best coaches and trainers on the planet and in the best facilities, made a name for themselves and moved to another club to have a more permanent / important role? This wasnt the first and wont be the last.

Let him go if he wants. He deserves to try to be the main guy in another team. This club won the league without the likes of KDB, Kompany, Aguero etc. Our scouts will find the next Alvarez in like 6 months.

  5. He wants to be a striker. Even when he plays they usually play him out of his preferred role.

  6. Everyone thought Haaland would leave and Alvarez would be the future at the very beginning. How those tables have turned.
