orks advancing towards Chasiv Yar (east from Bakhmut). they closed in on the Siversky Donets-Donbas water channel bwetween Chasiw Yar and Bakhmut. this is an obstacle used by UA to defend Chasiv Yar. orks are limited to KABs, Uragans and mortars. it’s also reported they’re mining roads on their side of the channel.
however, the section of the channel near the Kalynivka settlement (north-east from Chasiv Yar) has been already crossed by the orks end of July – start of August.
Klishchiivka-Andriivka front (south from Bakhmut) are without changes. orks are using small attack groups as well as counter-battery fire.
the Chasiv Yar direction heavily depends on the front south from Chasiv Yar (Toretsk, Niu-York). Toretsk town is already under attack but the huge initial attack was slowed by UA defenders. Niu-York however is being overwhelmed and fighting is going on in the middle of the settlement.
another difficult spot is Pokrovsk direction. the city is west from Avdiivka, it’s the main ork vector of attack after Avdiivka fell and orks managed to rush towards Ocheretyne and beyond. this is quite far from Chasiv Yar but it all connects together, because of logistics and positioning. the ork advance here was very swift after Avdiivka fell and the logistic route Pokrovsk-Kostiantynivka is therefore at risk -and this one is feeding the Chasiv Yar-Klishchiivka-Kurdyumivka line as well as Kramatorsk.
on the positive side, Youtub stated in his update from a week ago ([https://youtu.be/H1y63j_r7Wg](https://youtu.be/H1y63j_r7Wg)) that the situation with the arty ammunition has improved significantly. also, good critique in both videos on how money and resources are spent in front-line cities like Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk and Kostiantynivka, neglecting the defence.
UA is defending another Kostiantynivka in the Vuhledar-Kurakhove direction (south from Pokrovsk). this is a different Kostiantynivka, a settlement close to Marinka. from Marinka direction, massive ork attacks are conducted towards this Kostiantynivka settlement. the attack was repelled, however orks managed to expand their control around the Pobieda settlement (south from Marinka). check reporting: https://youtu.be/vZtjB_xYqKI

In general this could mean russia is not using them so much, maybe because it is not attacking. But other news says they are still attacking, so this could mean they are actually starting to run out?
