  4. Russia can’t even hold air space over a country with virtually no Air Force compared to a country like Israel that has F35s and MUCH more advanced equipment. I wouldn’t be surprised if Russia just gives them it to see how it “may” perform against western advanced fighters.

  9. Ukraine just took out an S-400 complex in Crimea with a couple ATACMS which is an almost 40 year old design. I don’t think Russian “advanced” equipment will be of much help to Iran against cutting edge Israeli equipment.

    No crappy, mal-maintained Soviet-era defense systems can save you from Eli Copter’s missile.

    Really, Israel upped their deterrence game here. The leaders in charge of their opposing militaries don’t give a damn about the soldiers. Destroying rocket launchers and offensive capabilities might bring them back but doesn’t really deter most of them. Targeting the highest leadership, in the heart of Tehran, Beirut and Gaza (talking about Deif) really sends a personal threat to the actual decision makers and makes them think they’re *never* safe, and can quite possibly be offed instantly if Israel ever wills it.

  26. A yes the advanced defense system they totally have with it working so well that they have to ask the U.S. to keep Ukraine from shooting missiles into their country.

  27. Asking Russia for defense systems as the US Navy rolls into the region is like my apprentice asking if he can use my tools on a jobsite because he forgot them.

  28. A war breaking out in the Middle East would be horrible. But Russia needing to support Iran vs Israel/USA would spread them thinner in Ukraine, which is obviously welcome. Not that this would justify any offensive actions against Iran from US’s/Israel’s side, but still, for the situation of Ukraine, this is not bad.

  29. They don’t say how much would take to operate. They don’t say if they would pay Wagnerites to operate asap. This might be a reasons to cancel an attack for months or even a year or two. Buying defense might be actually buying time and peace for everybody at the “cost” of no attack. Might be a start point for a temporary deal as best scenario.

  38. Wait. First they announce attacks in the saddest way possible, THEN they ask Russia to arm them because they can’t carry out those attacks yet? I’m feeling 2nd hand embarrassment.
