The difference in physique between some climbers

  1. Ai Mori’s biggest “problem” is her height. She is a fantastic climber but sometimes her height makes it much more difficult.

  2. Probably due to the fact that in the Olympics, they grouped together very different types of Sports Climbing into an all around one instead of individually holding events for lead, boulder, and speed

  3. The funny thing is Jessi Pilz, the Austrian, is just 165cm (5’5″) and 52kg (115 lbs). If you saw her on the street she’d be an objectively small woman. And she’s not known to be particularly “jacked” or anything. She’s just at maximum pump here and standing in a tunnel with top-lighting which makes her arms look even more defined. Plus this frame was taken at the exact moment where she’s kind of flaring her arms out in a pose that exacerbates the effect even more.

[This is what she looks like without a pump](https://images.thenorthface.com/is/image/TheNorthFaceEU/AthletePages_BIO_JPilz_d_gallery1_1?$SCALE-ORIGINAL$)

  4. There is a nordic professional climber on YouTube that don’t look like much with long sleeves but actually performed way way above his weight class in a power lifting competition

  5. Taller and more weight to carry, The muscle sizes also hinder her jumping ability.

Anyway, you see this in many sports where Outside of Asia the athletes focus more on muscle while Asian athletes focus more on agility to get the same things done. Just look at Wrestling and Judo. The French guy that won the gold in Judo a few days ago was a monster compared to his opponent.

  6. Diving seems to bring out the most evenly developed physiques. Strong, but designed for nearly splashless entty.
