If I read a description of Gabby Thomas in a novel, I’d roll my eyes and think the writer was going a little overboard.

This was such a fantastic race. Thomas did a great job of putting some distance between herself and Alfred. It was also very close for third with the lady from the US just making it by seconds.
Shame on NBC…they overhyped Sha’carri and Athing Mu…and it was disappointment…only Nike athletes get the pre-olympic hype machine. Gabby is with New Balance, so there is only room for one non-Nike athlete and that is Sydney M.
At this rate she could be President someday.

That acceleration down the stretch was like Allyson Felix’s win. Was checking out a few 200 metres finals, kinda dramatic how this Olympics has massive crowds for Athletics compared to like 1988.

Can any sprinters in here explain why the brief cut bottoms seem to be preferred over boyshort cut bottoms? With how fast their legs are moving it just seems like there would be so much ‘riding up’ and chafing with the briefs lol
