Taking out the kerch bridge whilst pushing into kirsk and belgorod with low levels of opposition would cause the mother of all panics in Russia.
Seems like good strategy.. they would have to move massive amounts of forces away from the eastern front..

It would explain why we don’t see a lot of the western weapons on the front. It feels like we see a trickle as it just enough to keep the Russians at bay but keep something in reserve for a counter offensive.
