  1. Fucking go on Letsile!!! So happy for him. Doing it for his mum, RIP. What a time.

  2. Americans foaming at the mouth now that they can finally shit on Lyles after having to wait for so long

  3. FINALLY!!!! I love this guy, he was going to win it. I saw it from the semifinals yesterday ✊🏾

  4. That was a really beatiful run from Tebogo! I loved his posture and relaxed dominance

  5. It’s not like Lyles was guaranteed to win but he wasn’t even close and was way slower than his PB. Very strange, and disappointing. Grats to Tebogo

  6. He looked brilliant in the semis but I didn’t think he’d carry it so strongly into the final.

Tremendous execution and absolutely blew them away

  7. Is this considered an upset just because people don’t try as hard in the semi finals? Because didn’t he already beat Lyles in that?

  8. “What we don’t want to do is take anything from Tebogo.” – Like you have been for the last 10 minutes BBC, you’ve only talked about Lyles being potentially ill and nothing about the winner.

  9. Over time Bolt is somehow becoming very underappreciated….what he did was probably the biggest Olympic accomplishment ever when you consider how hard the 100m/200m is and his dominance in it for three straight Olympics. Its not an exaggeration to say we might not see another like him in our lifetime.

  10. Inspiring.

Tonight, when the kid watches the replay, I’ll point out the chest thump as Tebogo crossed the line. He _felt_ that. A tribute to his deceased Mother, no doubt. She’s proud of you!

    21. Youngest winner since 1954. Letsile Tebogo, ring the bell!

  11. Lovely story. The man did it for his mom. She gave him that edge. God bless her. Rest in peace.

It’s a shame Lyles is taking the limelight away from this slightly. It’s not Lyles’s fault, admittedly, but still, Tebogo deserves all the accolades.

  12. Incredible run by Tebogo. One of, if it the, fastest races this year.

    Turns out Noah has COVID.
