  1. That’s why bolt always so relax before a race. You should use your energy on the race

  2. Lyles actually had a great start but was slower towards the end, very odd from him.

  3. People hating on Noah

Dude clearly has something because he is gassed

Winning a bronze with whatever is ailing him is impressive by itself

EDIT: People seriously hating on him when his time was also way off his best in the event he’s best at

Dude wasn’t at 100 for whatever reason and still medaled. Hating just because he talks but can actually back it up

EDIT 2: Confirmed by his mom that he was diagnosed by Covid two days ago. That with his Asthma history obviously hindered him in this race. Huge respect to actually go out and compete without using it as an excuse

  4. I feel bad that I’m talking shit about Lyles because he did win a gold, but he doesn’t help himself with how cocky he is before every race.

  5. Y’all really want sports to be boring as possible

It’s ok to talk some shit when you’re really good at something, it makes things more fun

  6. A lot of people apparently are unaware that track athletes don’t just walk out onto the track with cold muscles to race. You warm up for at least an hour before you race, to include doing several short, lower effort sprints before racing. Many sprinters will jump around before they go into the blocks.

  7. Could tell something was up as he did not have the usual speed endurance. Credit to Tebogo, worthy winner no matter what.

  8. Lyles always said the 200 is his wife and the 100 is his mistress. Looks like his wife found out about his mistress.

  9. Can’t help but feel a bit bummed for Lyles, but happy for Tebogo and thrilled for Bednarek! Kung-Fu Kenny’s story is inspiring – he’s overcome a lot.

  10. It’s pretty clear Lyles has COVID-19, at the 120m mark he just seems to run out of energy, and while he’s still going, he’s pushing, and he’s not able to get anymore out. It’s a shame we’re not seeing him at his best. Hope he’s alright because he was taken away on a transfer chair.

  11. quite exciting for Botswana to get their third olympic medal ever, and their first gold!

  12. people are saying Lyles was sick , still managed to get bronze, amazing, but gold for Botswana that is amazing as well. All of them are the fastest men on the planet, great job everyone

  13. Why’s everyone talking about Lyles? How about we celebrate Tebogo who won his country’s first ever gold?

  14. Unless Khelif gets the gold in boxing this will definitely be the signature gold for Africa at this Olympics. What a great win, made sweeter by the US immediately coming out and making excuses.

  15. Lots of covid excuses and not enough credit to Letsile Tebogo. Congratulations Botswana.

  16. This race and result cements even more the legacy of Usain Bolt and what he’s done .
    For three consecutive olympics
    Three marquee events
To dominate every single one of them with no question of close or photo finish

Bolt was really in a league and legacy of his own. GoAT 🐐 🫡

  17. Is there any chance Lyles will be in the 4 x 400m relay? Or is he done for Paris?

  18. I applaud OP for not putting the spoiler in the title like the news do. I want to watch the whole day replay with my wife cuz I’m busy at work today.

  19. Why the tap on this chest before the finish line ? Wouldn’t he have been able to improve his time some more not doing this ?

  20. Given Noah’s history of asthma and breathing issues, doing this event and the semis with COVID is borderline suicidal. I’m glad he seems to be doing ok post-race, but if anyone is at high risk with COVID, it’s Noah.

  21. As a zimbabwean this made me so damn proud!! It would have been great if they won, but its still amazing that there were even there!!

2 of the 8 fastest people in the world at the 200m race are zimbabwean and that’s super
