Katie Price arrested at Heathrow and pictured in police van after skipping court for facelift
Katie Price has been arrested on the tarmac at Heathrow and bundled into a police van tonight after arriving back in the UK
She was taken to a local nick – nine days after a High Court judge issued a warrant for her arrest
Her boyfriend JJ Slater, 31, left the airport’s Terminal 5 with two pals and their baby at 8.30pm – but Price and her disabled son Harvey, 22, were nowhere to be seen
A Met spokesman said: “A 46-year-old woman from Surrey was arrested at Heathrow Airport at 19:45hrs on Thursday, 8 August for failing to appear at court.
“She has been remanded in custody at a west London police station to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice tomorrow, Friday, 9 August.”
Katie had been laughing in the face of justice by soaking up the sun at a five-star hotel in Istanbul, Turkey, before returning home to face the music
Ex-Page 3 girl Katie had headed to Turkey for her sixth facelift before soaking up the sun at a five-star resort.
She flew from the UK to Istanbul on a British Airways jet just hours before she was due in court last Tuesday as part of her £760,000 bankruptcy fight.
Katie was accompanied by JJ and Harvey on the face-altering holiday.
In a statement, she begged for her son Harvey’s “protection”.
She wrote: “I am aware that I am about to be detained at the airport which is obviously what the courts feel is necessary.
“I do hope of course for my sons sake who is with me that they will allow some dignity and protection for at least his sake as this will be extremely disturbing for him to see.
“Whilst I understand the importance and severity of the matter I do feel like I am being treated like a criminal.”
The mum-of-five was ordered to make a one-off payment of £25,000 to creditors, followed by monthly instalments of £12,500.
Judge Burton said Katie failed to make the payments ordered by the court.
“She has no real excuse in failing to attend the hearing,” she said. “The reason for her absence is irrelevant.”
Katie was served an eviction notice ordering her to leave her £2million Mucky Mansion by the end of May as bailiffs swooped.
She was supposed to hand over her six cars – a Volkswagen Beetle, a Nissan, two Range Rovers, Suzuki Vitara and Infiniti FX50 – on July 5.
The star also indicated she would hand over her pink Range Rover but has so far failed to do so, the court was told.
The reality TV star has been sunning herself in 31°C heat in the pricey hotel while getting a number of treatments done.
