  2. The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a cautionary advisory for the expected Nankai Trough earthquake due to the significant magnitude of the recent earthquake. This advisory is not a prediction of an imminent earthquake, but rather a reminder that the probability of the previously predicted event has increased beyond normal levels, and urges people not to neglect earthquake preparedness. The advisory typically remains in effect for about a week, but does not impose any restrictions on daily life.
