From the amazing season with Girona to his outstanding featuring at the Olympics, Eric Garcia seems to have found some decent form.

With Lenglet having a foot out of the door considering the ongoing talks with Athletico Madrid, keeping Garcia this season might be a good decision.

Considering Araujo is out due to injury and won’t be registered until January (that is if he doesn’t get sold this summer) Eric could provide us some solid squad depth and tactical options for Hansi Flick.

  1. >Eric could provide squad depth

Xavi also had this exact thing in mind last summer. Luckily, Eric really wanted playing time and that gave us Cubarsi. With players like Faye waiting, let’s just let Eric leave.

  2. Woah woah woah woahhhh. Quite literally he is single-handedly making Pau Cubarsí look bad. There are players who make other players around them better – the greats. Then there’s Eric Garcia- who make all players around him worse. Stop this very false narrative. Eric counties being Eric. Nothings changed.

  3. I still think barca need to sell him you are not going to get a better opportunity to make money – imagine he comes back can’t hands the pressure and makes mistakes his value is going to drop that’s where I think Madrid plays smart and Barca doesn’t

  4. Ferran Torres played for Spain even while he was ass. Spain just love playing Barca players whether they have any real quality or not. Bottom line he was atrocious for us and we should offload him while we can before we can’t.

  5. He has risen consistently to the challenges. He had solid game today in the final and he made a few dangerous stops solidifying his status as taking that next step solidly.

  6. His good performances will give us some leverage because we can sell him for a decent price

  7. What corner? He was always a good la liga pure ball playing CB and that hasn’t changed. He wasn’t a starter under Xavi because he had 2 slightly better defenders, Araujo and Christensen ahead of him. Alonso was sometimes preferred off the bench because Xavi ended games by parking the bus instead of keeping the ball. Same goes for him in Spain, he was never bad for them, he just wasn’t the correct profile of player for direct football of de la Fuente.

  8. Will Garcia perform here though? Because I swear if I see this dude bear hug someone in the box and commit a penalty, it’s gonna fucking suck.

  9. Sell when the stock is high again, the team is more than covered in the CB position right now.

  10. Sell. He keeps hugging attackers and at Barca the refs will always call the penalty.

  11. urrghh.. I kinda feel bad for Eric, he made some brain farting mistakes in his stint for barcelona, at the same age as Fermin is now. If he stays, it is only a matter of a few mistakes before he will be doomed scapegoat again.

Faye is quite similar, wonderful on the ball, but inconsistent in getting into positions. But much more fun to watch than Eric Garcia.

  12. His stock should go up. Selling him and Faye should gives back around 35-40M. I would still keep Ingio for experience in big games. We have enough players in defense.

  13. I think Eric can be a world class CDM his progressive pass are insane kinda like David Luiz
