Anmazing performance! Gotta admit when she announced her program before the Olympics I doubted her ability to do well in the marathon after 20k worth of racing. These other marathon ladies will be shaking in their supershoes when she lines up fresh for her next marathon.

Assefa the WR holder was stupid. What did she expect? Sifan and Obiri have incredible last kick so she shoulda increaswd the pace and lose them but no she let it go to the last 200m. I knew Hasan or Obiri would win when I saw them together after less than a mile.

So incredible to have already run 20km and gotten 2 bronze medals, only to then go on and casually win gold over 42.2km 🇳🇱🧡🌷
It’s wild, because none of the rivals running at the front had run the 10000 nor the 5000 meters and she just beat the current WR holder. She ran the smartest, as she ignored some pace surges in the climbs and let the front group get ahead a couple of times, then she just caught up keeping a constant pace.
