LOUD EAGLE NOISES
What an end to the Olympics 2024!
Hair raising stuff.
As close as it gets for the gold race! 1pt victory for the right to tie. Not particularly close in title medals but alas it made it exciting
In an âunderperformanceâ of a year the US topped the medal table and won the second most medals since 1908. LA 2028 is going to be insane.Â
Excellent recovery by the dutch after a rough start
After watch the USA whiff on like 3 golds I watched before this last basketball game I was getting nervous. What a way to pull it off! U.S. women;in general dominated this Olympics!
Off year and still such a haul
Damn though, 67 – 66 in that game
If it’s a mdal table, shouldn’t we count.. All medals, not just gold?
Otherwise, call it a gold medal table
r/olympics 9/11
China made the most of Russia not being there. US amazing as always. See you all in four years
2 in 3 gold medals for US came from women
Track & Field really stepped up this year.
GB starting to get the whole US *rank by total medals* thing.
US best Olympics since 84Track destroyed.
Looks like a chart of world’s top economies

Granted it was specifically a silver tie breakerâŚ..but this going down the way it does has to irk so many that hate that weâve always been shown the medal tables as total medals and not just total gold đ
I really donât understand calling a medal count and then only counting goldsâŚ
There is one silver medal missing for France which makes the total of medals 64 instead
14 of those gold medals for the US come from Track & Field. The Americans were unstoppable, the only individual menâs event that they didnât medal in was the 800 where Bryce Hoppel was 4th in an American Record time.

Fuck yeah
I think if there is a tie on Gold they look at Silver, if there is also a tie then they look at the Bronze, however, it rarely ever gets down to the bronze. Wow! the US reach 40 in Gold, Silver and Bronze
What happened to Germany in this Olympic games? Just a questionâŚ.
Honestly I really donât care about total medal count. I just want to see amazing feats of athleticism
Thatâs the second time after the 1904 Olympics that a country ends up with at least 40 golds, 40 silvers and 40 bronzes. Which is even more impressive when you consider that in the 1904 Olympics the US had something like 90% of total athletes (threw a dumb number around, itâs probably wrong, but Iâm not as much off as one would think). Youâre not supposed to be this good at sports, even if youâve dominated the medal table in almost any edition. Insane
3-2-1 points allocation should be how we rank the tables from now on. Ignoring silvers and bronzes is so weird to me.
God damn I love this countryđşđ˛
Strange point system. The UK has twice many medals as the Dutch and one less gold and have finished below them.
