In full: Two rioters sentenced to 32 months in prison for their parts in Southport disorder
John O’Malley and William Morgan will be sentenced for their parts in recent violent disorder in Southport.
This morning, Sir Mark Rowley warned that rioters are criminal thugs, not patriots.
The Metropolitan Police Commissioner said those involved in the violent disorder which has broken out since the Southport killings would spend years in prison as a consequence of their actions.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Sir Mark said: “We’ve got criminal damage, violence, weapons offences, football banning orders. These are criminal thugs.
“Any suggestion that they’re patriots, or they’ve got a cause that they’re protesting about is nonsense, and frankly, most of them are going to be charged with violent disorder and most of them are going to prison for a few years.”

The numbers that came out last night in counter protest where far higher than anything the far right could muster, and they were peaceful. The Mail & Express have come out against them, Farage is trying to wash his hands of them, and many of them will be spending years in prison for basically coming out and attacking communities based on completely false story about the perpetrator of the Southport massacre.
