  1. Data from [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany_at_the_Olympics) combining teams of [West ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Germany_at_the_Olympics)and [East ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Germany_at_the_Olympics)Germany from 1968 until 1988 and [Saar ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Team_of_Germany_at_the_Olympics)in 1952. Using data from the [United Team of Germany](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Team_of_Germany_at_the_Olympics) for 1956 until 1964. Visualized with Google sheets.

  2. Picture 4 shows the percentage of athletes that were German

  3. Guess the point where steroid use amongst women stopped

  4. Germany’s poor performance in the medal count is quite surprising, getting half as many medals as the UK, only getting a couple more gold medals than New Zealand. It’s just I guess they don’t care so much but you definitely expect a country that size to do much better but… nope.
