Clearly she was robbed of a gold medal.

To be honest, she wasn’t great, but I give her respect for trying in front of millions of viewers around the world. This comes from someone who was born and raised in NYC in the 80s. Breaking dancing origins.

Breakdance was the worst thing BY FAR in Paris 2024.
It is art, not sport.
In fact, there are a lot of sports who didn’t make it to the Olympics and this artistic expression of dancing made it….. totally lame.
Disclaimer ; by no means I am saying that it doesn’t require talent, it requires A LOT and in fact, I’m impressed by the moves every time I see breakdance, it is just that it does not fit in an Olympics event.
She’s still an Olympian and that’s still better than us.

I feel bad for the other competitors. She made a mockery of the entire event and now they won’t even bring it back for LA 2028…
I can only look at this and think she has been intentionally mocking the entire event and situation. This is not redeeming in any way, to me.

She runs AUSBreaking and they hosted the Oceania Breaking Champion that decided who went to the Olympics.
They also made the competition very inaccessible, so it was basically a competition among their friend group. Lol.
I think the issue she has with break dancing is she is way too focused on her upper body movements when break dancing is largely about your legs with your arms acting more as a supportive role. She tends to dance with her hands, leaving her foot work as supporting her upper body dance…. which is why she looks so awkward as fuck break dancing.
