As the world warms and heatwaves become more frequent, we turn up the air con. But that contributes to climate change.
What’s the solution?

Try living through a week of 40Β°C plus, without the airconditioning! I live in Melbourne. Perth is even worse. Elderly people die in their chairs from heat stress in 'retirement villages' with no airconditioning. I agree that building design can make a big difference, but let's not just demonize the AC just yet. Let's move foward, more quickly, with fossil free energy.
Ok, so who's gonna pay for all of this restructuring? Do you realize how much work that is to completely redesign almost ALL of America and other countries? And you should also let these billion-dollar companies know the effects of air conditioning and all of this, because they seem to not give a shit.
The BBC wants you to swelter in silence now…actual villians.
Went to Kos last summer and they mounted solar heat collectors on the rooftops wherever you look. Nice warm showers in the evening after a swim in the outdoor pool. We didn't have aircon.
The end is closer than anyone can imagine . ππ
Fans can't manage the intense Heat nowadays. It just circulates the Hot air, an A/C does cooling. It should be made more efficient and affordable.
Let's say it was 30 to 35.. and let's say it was -5 we lose 10 times the amount of people in the freezing cold then what we do if it's 90.. wonder how many people will die this year because the old people I'm not getting help with bills from the government.. give yourself a clap anybody who voted labour it won't be long and he will be gone. I say he but I'm not too sure what he is.
How to work out what free speech is more important than saving the planet
AC efficiency needs improvement, AND need to be powered by solar & wind energy!
Yes! White paint, less mid-day outdoor labor, Etc .. π
Live in south Texas during the summer then you tell me you can survive without AC with the humidity. Get effed.
Population reduction is the answer
YOU USE HEATERS AND RADIATORS IN THE WINTER TIME !!!!!!
AC IS N-O-T-H-I-N-G COMPARED TO THAT !
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Humanity needs to go back to the roots until it's not to late!
The climate religion – another fantasy promoted by the far left BBC.
I believe we should start building partially underground.
Governments do nothingβ¦big business high on profitsβ¦.weβre all toast.
Unfortunately the wealthy donβt care. Most individuals and corporations are only interested in profits today. I believe that insulation and a radical approach to lowering global immigrations of co2 is paramount however profits and greed will eventually win over the needs of billions of the worldβs inhabitants
Who gives a fig!
Why is house A/C takeing all the blame. What about A/C in automobiles?
Look at BBC just pure filth
What about heat pump tech? Most of the solutions in the video require investment and time, things developing countries most affected can ill afford. We need cheap, immediate and pragmatic solutions as well.

In 2001 there were 5 billion people on the planet Earth today's our 8 billion people on the planet Earth 2030 tell me 15 billion people on the planet Earth lot of air conditioning 5:18
Best way to fight climate change: DON'T BREED. WE are the cause, WE need to ease up on consumption.
#BBCIdeas stop threatening pensioners to pay for something the never asked for and don't watch, maybe then they can pay to get houses sorted out, #granniesnopaypedoHuwsalary
The rich stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without hesitating then the poor stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich
