What’s behind regime change in Bangladesh

  1. The Bangladesh protests stunk of US influence from the beginning. Though blaming the US alone would be naive, the ousted PM wrongly responded to it in an inhumane and inconsiderate way. This protest would have subsided if the ousted PM took a different tone and called for dialogue instead of the harsh response. Nevertheless, the US exploited this to its fullest. There are reports, though not confirmed, that USAID was used to fund the protests. The influence Mohammed Yunus, the US-leaning Nobel Laureate, suddenly garnered through the protests is also suspicious. But the most glaring indictment or evidence is that some US officials were spotted negotiating with the army and the fundamentalists to acquire a naval base. The Bangladesh protests have a high likelihood that it was a US project.

  2. Bangladesh has long been a central point where US tries to gain a foothold to export their influence to contain Chinese influence even though Bangladesh would belong to India’s sphere of influence. I wonder if Pakistan could also be behind this and who plays a more significant role
