  1. I’m kinda sad about that. I really enjoyed watching it. I didn’t agree with the judging methods but it was fun to watch. Really liked the dancers battling it out.

  2. I think they should keep the dance off as a decider if competitors have same scores at the end of their discipline. Like wrestlers or weight lifters. Ray gun could referee.

  3. Maybe Raygunn isn’t why breakdancing won’t be back in LA, but she probably has made it harder for dance sports to be included in future Olympics.

  4. Damn, watching Raygun was the first time I’ve watched an Olympic Athlete and though “I can do that.”

  5. such a waste of potential, they are amazing performers out there, but I can see why afterr seeing that girl performance,

  6. Good grief. Cause with all respect to participants, except number of cases it was some toothless cringe inducing hip-hop bastardisation of breakdance, instead of it

  7. Break Dancing is so much better than dressage or any of the equestrian stuff. Sitting on a horse while it walks across a field is significantly less of a sport than break dancing. I’ll die on that hill too so downvote away breaking haters.

  8. I’m surprised so many people are upset about this. It was literally like they took the corniest scenes from Camp Rock made them into an actual Olympic competition.

  9. One sport that I feel would be perfect for the Olympics is kabaddi (standard-style). But onus is on the kabaddi authorities to get the sport in more countries.

  10. Thats a bummer. I enjoyed the Breakdancing finals more than anything i watched in olympics. Both men and women provided excellent entertainment and insane athletic feats. I just wish the crowd would have been bit more active as it’s an dance performance with beats after all.

Then again, i don’t watch any of the traditional olympics sports as i find them terribly boring. I mostly watched climbing, skating, bmx, judo, taekwondo, archery, team fencing and 3×3 basketball. I enjoyed all of them quite a bit. Team fencing is on the list only because i found it really fun to watch as no one knew who scored a point in most rounds. Watching both sides celebrate and then be confused/disappointed with each swipe was absolutely hilarious.

These were the first olympics i actually enjoyed for quite a while. Usually i don’t even bother watching most of it.
