  1. He’s right. The horse does all the work and should absolutely get the medal. Just like the KY Derby dresses the winner up after winning the race. These horses should also be recognized after the event. The rider and horse should be able to do a podium ceremony in a different way. Horses 100% know when they’ve done something good.

  2. I cannot wait until equestrian events are banned from the Olympics. The amount of abuse this year was unreal. Tight nosebands restricting breathing and putting pressure on the most delicate part of the nasal bone, bleeding mouth, extremely high dangerous fences (I’m unfortunately suprised only one horse died at the 2020 Olympics), rolkur (forcing the horses head too low into their chest, causing breathing difficulties and very often a blue tongue due to the pressure of the bit on it cutting off circulation.) And guess what? The people riding badly had high points, because the judges and riders care more about looks than welfare.

  3. FYI***
If you’re triggered by wholesome photos of an equestrian and his horses celebrating a win then please go touch grass. This post is not supposed to be negative so yall can leave that at the door.

  4. I’m surprised the US didn’t ask to add Barrel Racing and Roping.

Would have been awesome to see another horse event with western ties
