  5. He has grown on me. I like the video shorts they have of him on the IOC’s YouTube channel where he’s getting the events wrong.

  11. i loved whenever tv stations dressed the little la phryge plushies up according to the sport they were narrating or just dressed it up to look cool

  24. Modern day mascots are evaluated with shitpostability so I’d say Phryge is a massive success.

    Also just in case for the kids he can look kinda cute, bonus points on that..

  25. Fun trivia, it has no gender and it is the first mascot to have a physical handicap shown.

  26. Wasn’t a huge fan at first but he’s really grown on me. Nothing will ever come close to Vancouver’s mascots for me, but also I am both Canadian and was at the optimal age to get really into the mascots in 2010, so there will never be competition. Phryge definitely makes the top 10 for me, maybe even top 5.

  29. There was a French meme circulating last week. It said: “One Phyrge has to walk around Gare de Nord… the other goes jetskiing in Tahiti… life is unfair.” I adore him lol
