Putin Warns of “Worthy Response” as Ukraine Claims More Russian Land | Firstpost America
Russian President Vladimir Putin has vowed a “worthy response” to Ukraine’s incursion in the southwestern region of Kursk and ordered his troops to “dislodge the enemy from our territories”. Meanwhile, Kursk’s acting regional governor estimated that Kyiv’s forces had taken control of 28 settlements in the attack that was about 12 km deep and 40 km wide. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv has captured 1,000 sq km of Russian land. He added that Ukraine’s northeastern region of Sumy, which lies across the border with Kursk, had been attacked by Russia around 2,100 times. US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has called Ukraine’s incursion bold, brilliant and beautiful.
