  1. As nice as the gesture may seem, that girl looks like she wasn’t going to say no regardless if she wanted it or not lol. It don’t matter how much of a nice guy you are, if you’re a staunch looking 6ft stranger in body armour with dark shades, a beard and a gun slung, you’re fucken scary to most kids lol.

I could be wrong and it’s just my impression from reading the expressions.

  2. Poor child, she’s probably scared of of him, after all the bullshit that she heard about Ukrainians or foreigners.

  3. A-ha! A banderite shackling a Russian child as his property!! – someone in the zombiebox talk show, probably

  4. What? No raping and murdering and violating the corpse after? How could this be possible? (literally ruZZian army)

  5. I get trying to be nice but recording it feels forced like propaganda kinda like the russians did with ukrainian families all though im sure he did not threaten her.

  6. Not sure about this. I do get that Ukraine wants good propaganda while they are on Russian soil, but this can put the people they interact with in a difficult position.

These Russians won’t view Ukrainians as liberators. They are probably afraid of them depending on the propaganda they are being fed, and if they are seen interacting positively with Ukrainian troops there could be repercussions.

Getting them to say “Slava Ukraini” and take yellow/blue “gifts” while being filmed could very well be a death sentence for these civilians.

  7. He’s bringing her in danger I think. I don’t trust in Russians applauding her for her new bracelet.

  8. She’s obviously scared shitless, it’s a weird video and interaction altogether. Russians aren’t really happy with Ukrainians on their soil or longing for their liberation. This is just bizarre.

  9. soldier just gave a little girl a gift. it’s not that deep. it’s a gesture. a gift doesn’t have to be perfect to make it a friendly non-hostile gesture, purpose is to indicate the opposite from intimidation/assault/abuse. the situation can be awkward and there can be fear in that girl (given what’s been spewed about Ukrainians) without anything being wrong about this interaction really.
blurring her face imho is kinda arbitrary imho as this is quite a random phone clip and not an ad. if a system is so dumb as to blame a child for being compliant with an adversary force on camera then there’s no protection for such a child under that system anyways…

  10. Then a week later she and her family gets arrested by the FSB. This is completely irresponsible.

  11. I’m a bit mixed on that, of course it’s nice to see a friendly Ukrainian soldier who doesn’t rape and murder girls unlike the Russian soldiers, but what happens to that girl when the Russians come back and see that bracelet?

  12. Not good, the poor kid looks scared. She could also be treated badly once the UA leaves.

  13. I support Ukraine, but having the bracelet may get her in to trouble if supporters of Russia find her wearing it.

  14. The poor kid has been told her whole life that the Ukrainians are nazi murderers, no wonder she’s scared.

Good for her to see the truth.

  15. I love how people are trying to spin this into a negative. American soldiers were told to suspect even children to be enemies in Iraq/Afghanistan and in the end, they made no gains with the people.

The only way to win a war is for the enemy to accept that they have lost, and to accept that their occupiers are harmless.

It may not hasten a withdrawal, but it will hasten normalcy. Civilians are in better hands with Ukrainian soldiers than with Russian police.

  16. An endearing scene but I fear for this child if her town is retaken under Russian control.
The fascist Russia. regime has shown no hesitation to punishing children and their families for the smallest infraction regarding Putin’s war.

  17. Imagine not exploding civilians and filling their house with .762 or 30 cal.

    Yep. Imagine that.

  18. And just like that, unaware of primitive Russian customs, Vitaly accidentally got married overseas and never realized it.

  19. He should be careful, she could end up killed by loyalist Russians if they catch her wearing that.

  20. multiple videos are showing us the difference between Ukrainian warriors and the russian pricks!
