Wish him a quick recovery. De Jong gets a lot of critisism here maybe due to having a Barto era contract. I think he’s an excellent midfielder and could be even better in Flick’s more dynamic double CM/DM system. Great sense of space and a wide passing range. Just needs help in defensive transition.
With so many injury prone players in the squad why is it that they want to sign more?
