Those horses are a menace. Proof, if proof were needed, that the battle against nature is not yet won.
its true no one ever told me about the roundabout with horses on it the bastards
Wild horses, couldn’t drag me away 🏴🏴🏴
That’s Burley … the real menace is all the tacky witchcraft based knicknack shops aimed at tourists. Of course the missus loves them.
Make sure to walk as slow as possible, so everyone knows you aren’t scared of moving traffic.
Hard as nails.
Look at all those grockles!
New Forest is infamous for the horses.
It has some of the most amazing driving/cycling roads in the country, but the horses will wander onto the road without a second thought.
I camped in the New Forest. I woke with the tent bulging as a horse was right by the tent eating grass. It was the eating that woke me up. We stayed in the tent for about 30 minutes before they buggered off and we could get to the car.
I’m surprised we don’t see more stories about tourists getting kicked in the face for the Insta.
That’s the England “they” tell you about constantly, they don’t tell you that some of the people who live there are poor though and all the social services are 50miles away and there are no busses. It’s all “idyllic”, maybe they could make a Sunday evening TV show where someone clever from the city moves there and sorts out all the idiot locals.
I adore that little corner in Burley 🥰
I grew up in Burley and left when I was 15, it was a wonderful place to live. Our house was about 5 minutes walk from where this video was taken I would really love to move back but the house prices are just too high unfortunately
Average day in Shropshire:
I live about 10 minutes from the New Forest and I dread driving through it.
Mainly because there are so many people who don’t understand how to drive through it. I see people bombing it through sometimes and unfortunately animals are killed almost daily!
