Venezuela’s President Maduro calls for state ‘iron fist’ after deadly protests • FRANCE 24

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro called Monday for the state to use an “iron fist” after deadly protests in response to his July reelection, which has been dismissed at home and abroad as a sham. As the official protest death toll rose to 25, Maduro urged “severe justice” for violence he blames on the opposition, which insists its candidate Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia had won the July 28 vote by a landslide.

  1. The same incident happened in Iran 14 years ago when Ahmedinezhad lost the election to Mousavi, But he refused to accept the result and when people turned to the streets, the regime opened fire on them and took many lives. It seems like Putin's puppets are acting on the same book.

  2. You hear that? Maduro's controlled Supreme Court said they did not receive evidence from the opposition. But the Tally sheets, receipts, QR codes and records have all been scanned and published online. And these same result tallies are being blocked by the Maduro's government for anyone to see it inside Venezuela

  3. Which ever party has the USA backing you can be assured the State department have their hands in the cookie jar. Venezuela need to join the BRICS for economical and a common defense.
