  1. Russia has always been open to negotiations. This was seen clearly in the first months of the conflict when negotiations took place. Ended only, after significant progress, Boris Johnson, the emissary of the West flew to Kiev and convinced Zelensky to drop all negotiations and continue fighting.

  2. Ukraine didn't abide by the Minsk accords, had no intention to, those negotiations were only used to ramp-up weaponry and manpower. Why would Russia trust them? The U.S. State Department's coup and installed proxy government were illegal to begin with, the resulting attempt of ethnic cleansing of eastern Ukraine was illegal, the Minsk protocols were signed, agreed upon, and then ignored by Ukraine, in violation of legal agreements. So the government of Ukraine was criminal and its collaborators were obviously intent on the dissolution of the Russian government or worse – after eight years of attempts at ethnic cleansing by Ukraine and eight years of Russian attempts to get help from the UN, legal and otherwise, with evidence provided by the UN's own monitors. Why would Russia trust any of them? Don't be silly.
