Are Putin’s red lines serious nuclear threats or blackmail? | DW News

Ukraine says its forces are continuing their advance into Russia’s Kursk region, ten days after launching their surprise counterattack.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his government has held talks on setting up a military administration in Kursk to allow the evacuation of civilians. Kyiv said it plans to use the area as a strategic buffer zone to protect its border areas from Russian attacks.
Ukraine’s cross-border advance into Russia has also renewed calls for its Western allies to drop their restrictions on how their weapons are used.

  1. Love how the western world brings an actor that wears high heels, who now wears army’s uniform every where even in bed so he knows not to wear high heels 👠 till after the war ends

  2. The last election was the only time I didn't vote in the UK general election. I found both candidates to be useless and I couldn't understand why Britain was giving away tax money to Ukraine when we are suffering from high cost of living and social unrest since he came into office.

  3. I'm no fan of Putin's but yes the red lines are real and no Putin is not bluffing, nor is the Russian government as a whole. If Russia is ever invaded by NATO there will be full scale nuclear war. This is not up for debate the question rather is how will the western leaders accept this truth and adapt to it.

  4. i believe it is not rocket science. as long as russia's existence is not threatened putin is too smart not to know there would be retaliatory strikes
well, actually it IS rocket science 🤣

  5. The issue the Russians have with using nukes once they are used, then they lose China and India, they can't afford that, plus the use of them means the deterrent is gone.

  6. imagine if hes actually pressed the button several times, but all the silos are rusted, the air missiles are just empty shells and one just has a note saying "i o u 1 warhead"

  7. Support should be extended so Ukrainians can regain lost territories. Russia should stop its aggression and withdraw their forces – thats the easiest way to stop this madness.
