The ships that are now being hindered have a length of up to 294 meters and carry up to 2100 passengers. With additional pollution on top of, for example, the motorcycles, through bars and lounges, a golf simulator and a climbing wall, a fitness center, outdoor pool, wellness/beauty and spa room, a sauna and massage center, we can rest assured here about unlikely and exorbitant luxury while the Global South suffers daily from increasing climate changes. Cruise ships burn heavily polluting fuel oil, dump waste into our oceans and refuse to switch to a real green alternative. As long as the cruise industry refuses to change its polluting practices, they will continue to contribute to the destruction of the planet.
