  1. There is even the real possibility that many of the ruzz civilian population really do live in an information vacuum

  2. KremlinKaren^((tm)) in the corner, thinking dammit, there was supposed to be pillaging and having their way with the Russian women. And we haven’t been hit on once! #NotMyInvaders

  3. The contrast between the russians – note that I never start with an upper case – and the Ukrainians is very telling indeed.

The pictures and videos post Bucha and Irpin were horrific. The russians who invaded both, as well as Kherson and Mariupol must account for their crimes.

  4. Much of the Russian population in less developed regions lives in an information vacuum, as long as they continue to be fed and treated well, they will cooperate and perhaps even collaborate

With the guarantee of a good salary and housing allowance in Lviv or Kyiv many among the younger population would certainly choose to fight for Ukraine and against Russia. It would be a good way for Ukraine to get more soldiers.

  5. The Ukrainians are better than this, but imagine if all the locals that opposed Ukraine were taken into a theatre and shown footage of the atrocities their country had undertaken. The fools would believe it’s propaganda. You can teach ignorance and stupidity unfortuantey

  6. I don’t know if they’re agreeing just from being scared, but it sure doesn’t look like they’re getting the same treatment as ukrainians had.

  7. I don’t have faith in these orcs in understanding anything. Their mentality it appears cannot be fixed.

  8. Restraint is …… best. But I can hear the heartfelt anger in his voice. Not sure I could talk to a Ruskie tbh.

  9. They don’t like changes in their current situation. They want peace and stability. The unrest makes them uncomfortable. Like the Russian civilian said the other day, he doesn’t care who rules, he wants peace.

  10. Naturally some of the locals will still be afraid to talk to the UA soldiers. For one thing they have no idea how long the Ukrainians will stay in control, and one thing they certainly fear is retribution by ruzzian govt if they are perceived as “cooperating” with Ukraine if ruzzia regains control of the area. Lest we forget ruzzia just sentenced a person to 8 yrs of prison for simply donating $50 to a Ukrainian cause.

Off camera they might be more open to conversation, especially if alone so that none of their neighbors could rat them out.

  11. This is how you break the grip the propaganda has on the people, little by little.

Ukranians are people, like you and me, not what they’re telling you on the news.

They’ll finally grasp what their state have done to them for hundreds of years and hopefully be able to break their shackles and free themselves.

  12. Imagine if these same people were in Ukraine when Russians invaded…they would have been massacred. That wall the were sitting in front of would have been blood stained

  13. Imagine being so ignorant and proud your only response to a peaceful soldier offering you food and water is looking away like a stubborn kid. For real many Russians seem like a lost cause

  14. The entire thing is about russputins ego, he never has been a leader. , he knows being a hero to extremely desperate people is easy give some bread and vodka and some ego manic verbiage about how they are a super power yada yada . Now his ego is desperate as they are.

  15. Oh that very arrogant and hostile cold shoulder. Yep. I recognise that one. As an English speaking ‘westerner’ I get it done to me quite often here in Georgia – especially when I have my UA flag badges on my backpack. That arrogance gives me the ‘ick’ and drives me nuts. Well done UA soldiers for staying professional!

  16. It’s interesting that they were kind of cold and distant, as can be expected, but once they brought up their own government lying about things it warmed them right up.

  17. You guys laugh, but these people are old enough to remember the USSR, and understand what the Putin redux is. Never say anything that can come back to bite you.

  18. That old man has seen some sh*t before hes calm and understands what goes on in a war. Hopefully Ukraine can liberate ppl like this and help the Z-tards with a long sleep.

  19. Starting a conversation with Slava Ukraini is nothing but a provocation. While I wholeheartedly support the Ukr invasion of Russia, I certainly believe that the locals dont see this as anything but occupation. Ukrainians should know more and behave appropriately.

  20. To see such an honest an real conversation is mindblowing!

It`s easy to recognize the enormous differences in humanity of the AFU compared to the Russian Army.

The residents even seem to be taken better care of than before the AFU came to visit them on their “Special Travel Operation”.

  21. The old man himself had a pretty good technique to defuse the tension of the soldier. Approaching, candidly, and shaking his hand you could see a sudden shift in the Ukrainian soldier’s tone all the same. These folks don’t know jack shit and are just in a state of shock.

  22. The locals are used to shit they’re cautious…they know Russian orcs will kill them once AFU leave – sad

  23. I don’t know if asking unarmed civilians in full combat gear is really gonna get you too far.

  24. It’s absolutely the right thing to do- win hearts and minds. Unfortunately Putin will spin it as raping and pillaging and it would not surprise me if they send squads dressed as Ukrainians to do it for the media.

  25. Never Trust a Russian. Next second they will take a foto of your positions and send them to the FSB. Ist it allowed to Confiscate all their phones?
