  1. Given that Labour’s USP was that they were like a competent version of the Tories.

Why would this behaviour surprise anyone?

  2. It was pretty obvious that media outlets would start blaming Labour everything wrong in the country and not instantly fixing every problem, but I thought it’d be closer to 3 months before it was announced they were literally identical to the Tories because they haven’t changed everything.

  3. I mean, deaths in the last 3 months is maybe attributable to Labour, and even that would be a stretch.

Plus it would be the same civil servants pulling the numbers

  4. Don’t really see this as a transparency test

It’s DNP forcing them to release information early for them to skew in a way to use as ammunition to get people against DWP.

Releasing informatiom about what happened under Tory run governments does nothing to help anyone and DWP seem to not want to be judged based on the Tory reign.

Let them check the figures and make sure they’re accurate first instead of rushing them in releasing potentially bullshit figures.

  5. I stopped reading at “Labour’s DWP”. What a hilariously biased piece.

The numbers will come out, they should come out with the appropriate supporting data and arguments to explain them and actions taken to fix them, giving the current government who have been in power for all of 6 weeks, a bit of time to do that isn’t a ridiculous ask.
