Ukraine has destroyed the third and last permanent bridge across the Seim River in the Kursk region.

Russian military telegram channels write about this. The bridge was destroyed near the village of Karyzh in the Glushkovsky district. The bridge in neighboring Zvannoye was destroyed recently.

Russian military publics write that the Russian army has already built pontoon bridges across the river, and therefore the destruction of the bridges does not have a critical impact on the logistics of Russian units.

The bridge attacks, apparently aimed at thwarting a Russian counter-push in Kursk, could mean that Kyiv intends to seek a foothold in the region.

Pro-Kremlin military bloggers acknowledged that the destruction of the first bridge on the Seim River near the town of Glushkovo will impede deliveries of supplies to Russian forces repelling Ukraine’s incursion, although Moscow could still use pontoons and smaller bridges. Ukraine’s air force chief,. Mykola Oleshchuk, released a video of an airstrike that cut the bridge in two.

After this Ukrainian troops hit a second bridge in Russia, according to Oleshchuk and Russian regional Governor Alexei Smirnov. Russian Telegram channels claimed that a second bridge over the Seim, in the village of Zvannoe, had been struck.

Kyiv said it had seized more than 80 settlements over 1,150 square km in Kursk since launching a surprise strike across the border on Aug. 6, the biggest invasion of Russia since World War Two.

  2. What a Wonderful sight…Remember One person is responsible for all the Deaths and Devastation in Ukraine and minor incidents in Russia, (putin) The Unhinged Terrorist who has Blood on his hands…..God Bless Ukraine from the UK..xx

  3. The rains are coming. Those pontoon bridges wont be so useful when the road to them is under a meter of mud. Ukraine ain't goin back, Putler.

  4. Are the Ukrainians occupying Kursk? The Ukrainians are demolishing bridges and thereby preventing the delivery of food, weapons, and medicine to their soldiers. It is very likely that they are demolishing the bridges because the Russians have already successfully begun to destroy the Ukrainian army. that they were already threatening with friendly fire if the Ukrainian commanders wanted to withdraw the troops

  6. Do y’all think Ukraine is going all out like this rn because they fear lack of support once Trump becomes president? Do y’all think they are just trying to gain as much as possible so they have more things to negotiate with?

  7. A pontoon replacement bridge does not simply solve the russians problem. You also need decent paved access roads to/from the bridges which are few and far between in russia. Logistics is an entire chain not just one link.

  8. In reference to pontoon bridges.
They are an adequate emergency measure for moving men in combat but they are fairly useless under fire especially with precision weapons.
In the first year of the war the Russians tried pontoons and unlike the Sumey bridge that took four close Himar hits, (ineffective because the missiles went through the bridge like tissue paper) and a glide bomb, a pontoon will yield to a single artillery shell, pius back up traffic is both inevitable and deadly.
