According to this sub it’s worth it for Ukraine to trade a city with a pre war population of 55k for a bunch of small russian settlements.
Time will tell.

Sooooo many mistakes made by Ukraine and her allies…especially her allies (who continue to make them).
Should the world devolve into autocracy and might-is-right politics in the future, we’ll trace it to Putin’s past successes. He’s honestly been the poster child for taking from weaker neighbors and former vassals.
I guess this outcome is “fine” to the people in Washington?
Can’t wait to hear the Russian bots start accusing Ukraine of “committing genocide” by “intentionally targeting civilians in Russia”.

Ukraine has ordered families with children to evacuate Pokrovsk amid fears that Russian troops are about to bear down on the city.
Ukrainian officials said that Russian troops were advancing so quickly that families must flee the city and other nearby towns.
