  1. Restrictions on how to use weapons that are being supported by us is ludicrous. The delayed delivery of weapons also helping Russian invading deep into Ukrainian territories. What is the problem here, we the West are afraid of Putin nuke threats?

  2. That’s quite a stretch. Putin doesn’t care about his people, but her cares about optics. The Kursk offensive already prevented Putin from declaring status quo borders and turning it into another frozen conflict. Russia is far larger than the ranges of any strike weapons that NATO could conceivably provide. The bombers could be moved to farther bases, and ATACMS hasn’t exactly prevented the current advance in the Donbass despite being deep in internationally recognized Ukrainian territory

This seems more like an internal political statement meant to defend any criticism he might get for sending the forces there instead of the Russian offensive currently gaining ground

  3. Vlad Vexler nailed this last week. He said that the Western and especially US obsession with reining in escalation has lead to a more unstable situation that requires Ukraine to take an alternative course that created escalation of a different type.
