I am aware that on Twitter a lot of people say it is Kursk, but it was geolocated to Nowa Kachowka.
Most likely some kind of bunker buster. Never saw a normal bomb cause such a little explosion
This is fascinating. Makes one wonder how much intel Ukraine has in Russian occupied areas. Did they simply watch Russian soldiers going in and out of the nearby building and see the vent and assume there was some kind of underground basement there? Or did they have specific intel about what is there and where exactly it is?
Air war in Ukraine must be so complex. The whole area is covered in AA missiles, but occasionally you can just roll up and drop a bomb on someone.
Something is cooking in there. French cuisine, man *chef’s kiss*
can someone tell me the type or name of the jet?
Garlic-tipped warhead
Thats a crazy concealed fortification.
At 5-6sec you can see the munition falling right before the poof of smoke.
Its interesting how little to no explosion happened. Not even the ground poofed up as usually when an explosion’s happens in a underground trench or fort you would see the earth above the voided areas poof up from the blast wave but that doesnt happen. You would also see explosion’s coming out of any entrances or exits of the underground fortification. Especially if this is a 250lb Hammer boom.
Can someone that knows about munition explain to me what happened here? Because im so confused. Logic tells me it should have been a very big boom if it was a 250lb Hammer boom. Could it be that what was used was a different variant of hammer specifically designed for bunkers? Could it have been a dud? but still enough to destroy the fort? Could it have like a timed delay and they just dint show the boom. This just has me so confused.
