A fire at an oil depot in the Rostov region that was hit by Ukrainian drones early Sunday morning continues to blaze, and another tank exploded there on Tuesday evening.
The explosion was reported by the Don Mash Telegram channel, which published a video . According to the channel’s preliminary information, no one was hurt.
Rostov sources do not specify how many tanks have burned and are burning. On Monday, they reported 11 burning tanks, and there are about seventy of them at the base, judging by satellite images.
More than 600 rescuers are trying to stop the spread of the fire, according to Russian authorities.
Rostov Region Governor Vasily Golubev wrote in a telegram on Tuesday that two fire trains and two Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry were involved in extinguishing the fire, and the aircraft, according to the governor, dropped water on the territory adjacent to the base – apparently to prevent the fire from spreading beyond the oil depot.
The Telegram channel “This is Rostov News” reports that smoke from the fire has reached Rostov-on-Don, which is located 165 kilometers from Proletarsk.”-BBC Russia service telegram channel

So i got some questions
1. How can a fire this intense rage for days yet there is still stuff to burn? My dumb ass brain cant help but feel with such intense fire, anything close would be gone in some hours
2. Just how much “oil” or important material is being lost? I feel this fire is just way bigger in scale and material then most others so far.
Hopefully this will not be repaired any time soon, especially with sanctions in place
