  1. Bullshit, the air in Grenoble is very polluted.

Grenoble is the third most polluted city in France after Paris and Marseille.

The quality of life isn’t earning money or having the fiber morons, it’s first having a decent environnement. C’monnnnn

    Oxford economics, hahaha. Muhahahhaha.

  2. Ghent is a nice city for sure, but appearing on these lists is no good, we want less tourism, not more.

  3. Basel? Really? I’ve been there a few times. Found the city not very remarkable or impressive. Wouldn’t want to live there.

Most likely due to the borders to Germany and France people like to live there. High income and opportunity to by cheap across the border.

  4. I have been to France and I have been to these cities. This is such a lie. I would never live in these cities and this country, there are a lot of problems with homeless people, crime, you know the Czech Republic or Poland are much better and more convenient than France, although some statistics say the opposite, but believe me in 10-20 years even the statistics will say that everything is bad in France.

  5. If these lists were for ‘most boring, suicide-inducing shithole’ then they’d be worth taking seriously. Canberra at #2 is criminal

  6. amazed how even pierre hates grenoble too… whats going on there? The air is making people evolve in mutants or what?

  7. Wait, vienna was on top of that for a long time, no? Did things change so drastically that its not even top 10 anymore, or am I thinking of a different index?

  8. So what is Luxembourg city actually like? Is it an amazing city or is this another “per capita” situation?

  9. Half of these cities wouldn’t even make it in the first 50. Specially the French and Belgians… What a joke.

  10. I’ve lived in Grenoble for 3 years and as much as it shouldn’t be higher than any other french city, people are wildly exagerating with the crime stuff. I grew up in Montpellier, Toulouse and Nice and those cities are far more dangerous and crime-ridden. The only difference is, it’s normalized so most people don’t even report when there’s violence.

  11. Grenoble and Nantes ? Dafuk ?

Grenoble has poor air quality and Nantes has 2 days of sun in the year. And pretty bad criminality for both. (I mean, they’re big French cities, the criminality is a given).

  12. >get out in a random city in France

    >Think to oneself “oh lala what high quality of la vie”

    >Immediately get stabbed and robbed

    >Ask for help

    >People answer in french and offer you a baguette before getting stabbed and you end up stabbed again and without a baguette

  13. >indicators:

    >housing expenditure

as in low = good ? those morons have it backwards. cost is a result of QoL, not the other way around.

look for the most expensive city you can afford and start from here

grenoble and nantes suck, nobody would want to raise children there

  14. Quality of life and gent in one sentence? Hell nah.

Triple the rent as the country side, a third of the size for an apartment that is 80 years old.
