When you start to play, Colin Curly will enter the first puzzle screen by somersaulting from his Quaver packet onto the first of a number of platforms.
Everything had a tie-in game back then. Even the red dot from the 7Up logo.
Looooooool! Memory unlocked!
Double nostalgia here as we had a games shop with the same name in Norwich.
A young Maleficent_Peach46 played Zool on the Amiga. A little Ninja man who ran around a world filled with Chupa Chups. (Other lollipops are available)
There was also a McDonalds branded game where you clean up the planet but with the clown appearing instead of the Captain. Also had a very catchy theme.
Never the biggest fan of quavers.
Quavers made a few games didn’t they? Seem to remember one where you had to use a little character maybe some kind of ant and move domino tiles to where they needed to be to complete the domino run. Can’t remember what it was called though.
*That* sent me down a rabbithole, trying to remember which game I knew that ocean logo from.
Worms!
I had a weetabix game on the speccy from memory. It was a shoot em up.
The Quavers guy still got game.
Also, imagine Quaver Oats for breakfast…
Ocean gaming !! they were huge, they had some massive games on the Spectrum (and just typing that has brought back memories of the loading sound from a tape deck and the epileptic fit inducing background) What ever happened to that software house ?
I had no idea there even was a Quavers mascot! It’s funny, not so many food products, excluding cereal, have mascots these days.
Co-oolin, tidy that room!
Did colin steal his font from dangermouse and penfold? Sure looks like it 🤣
My instant reaction “quavers had a mascot?” <clicks image> “ohhhhhhh that guy”

So did [KP Skips](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_Biker).
I had the spectrum version. It was rubbish.
See also ‘Pushover’ on the Amiga. He was in that too.

The game was sponsored by Smiths (now owned by Walker)
I remember playing that game! It was so cheesy, but addicting. I loved collecting all the Quavers snacks while avoiding the crunchy rivals.
Looking at the title, I immediately thought of the phrase “Hey you! Don’t watch that, watch this!”
The skips guy had a dirt bike game too, think it was the Amiga.
Edit – was the Commodore 64
