Oh what a career he had. And yes he was number one at some point, he’s still got it and I hope to see him at Bayern giving his all for atleast a few more years. Nagelsmann was never going to say no to him so I guess he didn’t want to end up on the bench getting old. He left with skill and I respect him for that.
I have huge respect for his whole life and I have no doubts that post football he will go on to do amazing things.
Let’s mourn together in the comments and I would love to hear thoughts in general regarding him or this.

How so ? He’s not going to finish the season?
I think it actually makes sense. The world cup is in 2 years and who knows if Neuer will be at his high level then. I hope it for him but who knows. This way Ter Stegen gets his time to shine and settle in with the team.
Plus Manu can focus on Bayern and doesnt need to play that much games
End of an era
He’s gonna be 40 in 2 years which is crazy. Makes sense to let the team build up and adjust for the World Cup now especially since his play style and impact is often different than other keepers.
He’s gonna make his comeback in march 2026.

His great career has come to an end, that includes great saves that gave him the opportunity to lift the most of the highest level trophies. For me he will always be the goat of all.
