I don’t know if I’m just looking back with rose-tinted specs, or maybe it’s recency bias, but it certainly seems that knife attacks on children are becoming more and more prevalent, attacks carried out by children and adults alike.
The commonality between these attacks is they are all committed by men, especially young men, and against girls. Maybe the government treating extreme misogyny the way they treat other forms of extremism is the correct move. Hopefully they can yield some result before the end of the Parliament.
What the flipping pancakes is wrong with this country???
The police need to release information on whoever is responsible ASAP.

Is this something that is happening more frequently now?
Or is it a case of things like this are being reported more and making it into the various mainstream media reports?

Throw away the fucking key, you can’t rehabilitate that.
We’ve had an increase in stabbings here in Dorset unfortunately especially Bournemouth. I hope we can work out a way to tackle knife crime before more victims are taken. RIP
How many children have been stabbed in Singapore the last couple of months? What about Japan? Qatar? Taiwan?
Something tells me the population-adjusted rate isn’t equal.
I don’t care if violent crime is down on what it was 30 years ago like people on this thread are mentioning.
We are an advanced, obscenely wealthy nation. The countries mentioned above show that this doesn’t have to be a problem. But those in charge don’t care.
We need to make criminals scared again. We need to uphold the right of the public not be victimised, above the violent thugs right to be rehabilitated for the 47th time.
There is literally no other responsibility of the state – not the schools, not the roads, not the trains – that are as important as keeping the population safe.
If you can’t do that then the government is just an extortion racket.
We mustn’t remember when children weren’t regularly being stabbed. We mustn’t speculate. We mustn’t look back in anger. We mustn’t stoke tensions. We mustn’t let hate win. We mustn’t attack the communities.
