The primary source, Irish Times, states that Ireland has spent €8.5m on Israeli weapons over ten years.
That… ain’t much. And Israeli weapons are cheap, because the USA subsidizes Israel. So it’s no surprise they offer cheaper alternatives to US or Turkish companies.
They also said Israeli companies are eligible to make bids.
That said, I can imagine the government might change its policy.
