  1. I guess invading and slaughtering civilians is ok (Oct 6) but fighting back against the ones that did it isn’t. It amazes me how a small minority having very loud protests and burning flags can sway opinion. Why is no one calling for the world court to charge the one’s still holding hostages? Is that a legal activity or are they afraid of more loud but tiny protests.

  2. The “pressure” appears to be one second rate diplomat stuck in a dead end role (according to people who are familiar with the British diplomatic service system) who decided that his morality simply could not allow him to continue to serve in a government that sells arms to Israel.

    Apparently the fact his government sells about 22x more weapons to Saudi Arabia who bombed anything that moved in Yemen (and contributed to the famine that killed 400k) and 5x more weapons to the UAE who’s actively supporting a genocide in Sudan did not illicit the same reaction.
