For me and I’m sure many other math-oriented folks who aren’t well-acquainted with stats and viz stuff, seeing how condescending and immature you are in response to something you don’t like (or even something objectively bad, it doesn’t matter) is just sad. You’re childish and mean.

I agree OP, using a cumulative visualization for non-cumulative data is a little annoying. There is no reason to be so mean about it though, people can just tell you that it’s not the right thing to use and move on without belittling you.
I think a rule should be added that prohibits this kind of behaviour, it is okay to correct someone’s mistakes, that’s how we learn; it’s not okay to be condescending about it.
