  1. Only in July, not this year. But still good news. Anyone knows where these bmw EVs are being assembled though? If I recall correctly Mini’s production was being moved to china. Volvo moved to Belgium ahead of the tariffs but was being built in asia too.

  2. Just wait until they get the Chinese battery from Hungary. Right from the same city where the new BMW factory will open

  3. “The German concern BMW AG has”
Funniest german english i have read in a while 😀

  4. I first wanted to, but I decided to not buy a Tesla last year just because of Musk his behaviour towards Ukraine and being such an enormous dork online.

Good thing I did, because those cars are trash, I dodged a bullet.

  5. We shouldn’t forget that it was BMW that brought out the i3 ans i8 many years before Tesla even came in to existence.

For me, the quality of a BMW is miles ahead of a tesla. Not just in terms of the materials used (BMW can cheap out a bit ij the entry series) but the craftsmanship.

  6. Really?

Could have given me 10 guesses andI wouldn’t guess BMW as a company to compete for top electric carmaker.

You just don’t see that many electric BMWs, but you see a ton of Hyundai and even Peugeot ones.

  7. Infrastructure is very good in Europe so the Tesla network is irrelevant here. i4/i5 have a great range, ix1 is relatively affordable. BMW has a lot of segments covered. I ride the i4 and its a great car.

  8. It was always just a matter of time before the big car brands caught up and overtook Tesla.
Tesla will not be able to compete with them in the future.

  9. Portugal is probably a bubble but Tesla is crazy popular around here. I’ve seen some electric BMWs as well, but a fraction of Tesla. They are all so ugly IMO and BMW drivers have a horrible (and mostly deserved) reputation.

  10. Tesla strike in Sweden is still ongoing and more workers have joined the strike for a collective agreement after summer

  11. Tesla are shit cars.

I think Hertz is going to get rid off all of theirs Tesla’s due to servicing costs.

  12. This checks out. I’m in the market for an EV, but I am avoiding tesla because of CEO behaviour and quality of post-purchase support. Will likely getting be getting a mini instead.

  13. Year to date results:
    Tesla 178k
    BMW 97k
    VW (not VAG) 88k

Really silly to compare just a month when the gap is huge as this one.
