[OC] US Counties With a Life Expectancy Below 75

  2. Ack, that south area near Alabama and Mississippi. So sad, because a lot of black folk live down there 🙁

  3. Absolutely shocked that my county is not a Below-75. Not shocked a bit that you can barely see Mississippi.

  4. Does this graphic look slightly askew? Like it’s drooping to the left

  5. SC would have more, except for all the retirees from up north.

  6. That splotch of black that begins in SE Ohio, is all downstream from the Dupont chemical plant that infamously contaminated it’s workers with C-8 and continues to pump and dump PFOA into the air/Ohio river.

  7. For what it’s worth, Oklahoma has two primary population centers, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Neither of those are colored in. So, even though a significant portion of the state is colored in, most of Oklahoma’s population is not in those counties.

  8. So is Newport County, RI one of those counties or are the island borders just too thick?
