  1. Go Germany!! Always the country with the fastest Internet 💪💪 Never behind any other countries when it comes to IT

  2. There’s no way the average broadband speed in Ireland is over 100Mb.

    Edit: Google says

    >What is the average broadband speed in Ireland?

    >With an average download speed of approx 103Mbps, up from 76Mbps in 2023, Ireland currently ranks 40th in the world for speed according to Cable.co.uk.

So, I guess it did squeak through in the last year.

  3. every time theres a post about internet speeds teh data is wildly different, also almost always wildly overstating hungary

  4. In Ukraine, 100 Mbps is often included in the cheapest tariff plan, close to $5/month.
So I doubt that this data is correct.

  5. Uhm, in Hungary we have 2 Gbps for like $25. I live in a small village, we have dirt road in the street and even I have this speed.

  6. Bulgaria used to be among the fasted in Europe, along with Romania. Then the established operators bought up everyone else and enshitificate the whole thing.

  7. In Belarus it could be even worse than that. I don’t know the details but at some point the state decided to push for accessible internet which I suspect now was because of a deal with Chinese manufacturers. Now, since the deal is over, no one thinks about upgrading the infrastructure.

  8. No idea how France managed to kick so much ass here.
In very rural Brittany and the village has been hooked up with fibre, while my nan’s place in densely populated South East England still running on telephone lines.

  9. laughs bitterly in 27Mbps in the middle* of a bloody capital city

*okay praga may not be the middle, but it doesn’t change the fact even people in wawer has had broadband for years now

  10. The funny thing is, I’ve been bashing Germany all this time for slow Internet but when they finally installed fibre optic in my neighbourhood, I decided to stick with my ~25mbps because it’s actually fast enough (and I work from home with a lot of video calls, etc.). Netflix is no problem because we don’t have a 4K tv anyway.

  11. If you’re just going to include the French ost on the map then don’t just have a “french” average. Because I don’t for a second think that all those territories share the same average as metropolitan France

  12. Is this by chosen or offered? Because in Poland 1GBit is widely available. Krakow and Warsaw have even 10 GBit offers available to nonenterprise customers along with your regular plans. For enterprise sky and money is the limit.
