  1. I don’t think that’s going to help based on the size of the drones I’ve seen UA sending at these.

  2. Looks way too thin to stop a Lyutyy or UJ-26 Beaver, maybe a retrofitted FPV but Ukraine does not use those for attacks within Russia. The resulting explosion would still be powerful and close enough to cause damage. I could see a metal “box” barbecue style cage around the cylinder protecting it from strikes so why not use those? Are they stupid?

  3. Guess that’s supposed to catch the debris from all those drones air defense has been shooting down.

  4. It’s hard to imagine the drain on resources this type of crap would be having across the vastness of orcland? Time, money, materials & manpower … it really is death by a million tiny cuts!

  5. I’m gonna guess this is a morale move for the benefit of the employees and drivers that have to go there because that ain’t stopping what’s coming

  6. Honestly I’m amazed this took so long.

Is it going to work? Probably not. But they don’t lose much by trying

  7. Anti-drone netting. The cope cage was for dealing with ATGMs like the Javelin. It didn’t work hence “cope.”

Anti-drone cages on the other hand have proven to be (sort of) helpful, though not much. Unless this is supposed to fight ATGMs, this is an anti-drone netting.

Anti-drone cages started just like cope cages but changed slightly later on so that they have a lot of variation.

  8. It’s only cope if it failed, but I think it would be pretty easy to design a work around to get through chicken wire

  9. If a large fly landed that cage it would come tumbling down never mind a drone attack or missile.

    πŸ‘πŸ‘

  10. As in all communist countries they do this to show their superiors that they did something even if it doesn’t work or if it was the most ridiculously stupid thing.
