Firefighters tackle wildfires in south-west Turkey

Two forest fires broke out on Sunday in the Yatağan and Ula districts of Muğla province, a popular summer destination in south-west Turkev. Dozens of aircraft and ground vehicles were dispatched and nearly 300 personnel were fighting the fires. Out of 130 fires that erupted across the country in the last week, five were still raging in western Turkey as of Sunday morning, according to Turkey’s agriculture and forestry ministry. Thousands of people have been evacuated from affected areas and there have been no reported casualties
