  1. Dear Raw story,
I can get these stories anywhere
If you want me to hear what you have to say don’t block your content and ask for a dollar.

  2. To be fair, the American Political system has been way overdue for an overhaul for quite some time.

The RNC and DNC are private entities anyway, why the fuck do they control everything?

  3. “I preferred the Republican Party *before* Trump; you know, when they were laying the groundwork for someone exactly like him”

If you don’t know how racist conservatism and authoritarianism drives the Republican Party today, let Lee Atwater, Nixon’s campaign consultant, explain to you what the “southern strategy” was all about: [interview](https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/exclusive-lee-atwaters-infamous-1981-interview-southern-strategy/tnamp/) (I edited the n words out of the quote below).

    >You start out in 1954 by saying, “N….., n….., n……” By 1968 you can’t say “n…..”—that hurts you, backfires. So you say stuff like, uh, forced busing, states’ rights, and all that stuff, and you’re getting so abstract. Now, you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is, blacks get hurt worse than whites.… “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, uh, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “N….., n……”

  4. Trump’s cancer runs deep. He’s been getting help from Putin and other outside sources.

  5. I would say that the last chance the party had to save itself was in 2012. Romney/Ryan was the last ticket that was actually running on principles. Unfortunately, the “Palin” wing of the party decided that the problem was that they weren’t extreme enough, and that all government was bad in every form. And now we’re seeing the end result of that.

And now the party isn’t even aligned on principles. The only uniting feature is loyalty to the orange God-King. If you’re a genuine conservative, but don’t pledge fealty to Trump, there’s no room for you in the party anymore.

  6. I’ve said that for the longest time, and I’m glad to see it’s catching on. I welcome a challenger to the Democrat party, but they needed to be rooted in reality and offer a better way forward…not an Evangelical way forward.
