The overall strategic value of this move is questionable. Short term it is impressive, but only time will tell.

80 localities în a few days and now the last 2 probably because they are bogged down as the russians started pushing back. They were caught off guard completely in that area.
They hold a few one-horse towns and now they are being decimated. It was a US PR stunt to get some media attention, try to draw some Russian troops from the front-line and ensure there was no peace negotiation but they got lucky and caught Russia sleeping. Russia is not sleeping anymore.
